ABSTRACT

The rapid growth of Ayurveda-based wellness tourism now coincides with the rise of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology. This study aims to analyze the opportunities and challenges of how AI works in Ayurvedic wellness tourism without eroding Hindu values. This study uses a literature review method with a qualitative-descriptive approach. The findings show that AI has the potential to improve patient sorting speed, the accuracy of mapping body types (Prakriti), and global service reach. However, AI also presents challenges in the risk of oversimplifying the understanding of the core nature and spiritual side of Ayurveda. AI operates strictly on rigid data without true empathy. Therefore, AI must serve merely as a digital tool, while diagnosis and treatment decisions remain rooted in the practitioner's intuition and expertise (Yukti). This combination ensures that modern AI-driven wellness tourism can thrive without sacrificing its holistic soul and Hindu values, such as Tri Hita Karana and Tri Kaya Parisudha.
