Organizations that are able to outperform competition in this millennial era are those who can manage, control, and utilize their employee capabilities as their main resources. Employee’s performance and productivity will greatly determine organization’s competitiveness and selling points. Job satisfaction is one of the factors that affect employee’s performance and productivity. Individuals who join an organization will bring their own values, wishes, needs, desires, and experiences which will forms work expectations. Job satisfaction describes the match between individual expectations and the awards given by the organization. One of the factors that can determine employee’s job satisfaction is leadership effectiveness. It doesn’t matter what kind of leadership style is applied by the leader, as long as it is effective, then it will be able to increase employee’s job satisfaction which will have an impact on individual and organizational productivity later on.
