MERAJUT KERUKUNAN DALAM KEBERAGAMAN: PRAKSIS PANCASILA

Abstrak

Knitting harmony in diversity will not be easy with the various challenges that arise in every Indonesian citizen. Things like not be able to accept the opinions of others, or tend to contradict differences, looking for something that’s not the same, that’s leads to conflict. An appreciation in each principles of Pancasila often forgotten, bearing in mind with the presumption of its obsolete existence. Whereas values of Pancasila was never separated from the identity of Indonesian people until nowdays. Religious moderation is also a new concept which has long been contained in the values of Pancasila, a concept in which peaceful co-existence becomes one of the goals of national and state life. Therefore the salad bowl concept can become one of the new format choices for Indonesia to knit awareness about harmony in diversity. In a bowl of salad we can enjoy a variety of fruits and vegetables. Besides that, multicultural harmony as a Pancasila praxis and estimation of the salad bowl concept can be developed through several strategies from various aspects. Commitment as an Indonesian citizen should be in a package with consensus on diversity concept. Multicultural interaction can be a measure of achieving harmony in diversity.
