Peer Review Process

Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to the IAHN Tampung Penyang Palangka Raya National Seminar Proceedings undergo a rigorous review process according to the following mechanisms:

  1. Initial Evaluation (Desk Review): The Editor performs an initial screening regarding the manuscript’s alignment with the focus and scope, adherence to the template, and similarity index (plagiarism check). Manuscripts that do not meet the basic requirements will be rejected immediately.
  2. Double-Blind Review Mechanism: Manuscripts that pass the initial evaluation are sent to at least two qualified Peer Reviewers. This process employs a Double-Blind system, where the authors' identities are concealed from the reviewers and vice versa to ensure objective evaluation.
  3. Editorial Decision: Based on the reviewers' recommendations, the Editor will make a final decision, which may include:
    • Accepted: Accepted without revisions.
    • Accepted with Minor Revisions: Requires minor improvements.
    • Accepted with Major Revisions: Requires fundamental changes and potential re-evaluation.
    • Rejected: Rejected due to scientific quality or policy misalignment.
  4. Review Duration: The review process typically takes 2 to 4 weeks, depending on reviewer availability and the author's responsiveness to revisions.
